My name is Marisa Ford. and the Deputy Manager and Baby Room Leader. I have a degree in Children and Playwork which has allowed me to gain a lot of experience in working with children of all ages and abilities. My time at University has allowed me to learn about children’s development, planning and stimulating activities to encourage healthy progress in all areas of their development.
I have previously worked with babies at nursery, caring for their various individual needs and working closely with parents to support their child. I enjoy creating different activities, including messy play ideas and adapting them to each age group.
I have also gained a year’s experience with pre-school children where my position was Deputy Manager. I gained a lot of new skills in this position and really enjoyed the social interaction off the children as they grew and developed through play. Whilst working with the pre-school children I was the nursery’s SENCO (special educational needs coordinator) and the designated Safeguarding contact.
I am looking forward to my new role in which is a beautifully relaxing and caring setting.
